International Women's Day

We at Women Of London are dedicated to sharing the history of Women throughout the year and we are excited to announce a special timetable between the 5th-8th of March for International Women’s Day. 

This timetable includes two new Women of London walking tours as well as our popular ‘Women of Westminster‘ and ‘Working Women of the East End’ walking tours.

Thursday 5th March:
10am: ‘Women of the National Gallery’ Tour, 2 hours
2pm: ‘Women of Westminster’ walking tour, 2.5 hours

Friday 6th March:
10am: ‘Women of the National Portrait Gallery’ walking tour, 2 hours
2pm: ‘Working Women of the East End’ walking tour, 2.5 hours
6.30pm: ‘Women of the National Gallery’ walking tour, 2 hours
6.30pm: ‘Women of the National Portrait Gallery’ walking tour, 2 hours

Saturday 7th March:

Women of the National Gallery

The National Gallery in London proudly hosts a collection of art from the 12th-20th centuries, and visitors from all around the world come to take in and admire the collection.

This 2 hour walking tour will skip past the more well known artists to highlight the female artists in the collection, their stories, struggles and how they fit into the broader history of art.

This 2 hour small group walking tour is limited to 10 people and costs £25.00 per person.

This walking tour will start at the red telephone box outside the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery, opposite Canada house. 
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour to meet your guide.

Women of the National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery has one of the most extensive collections of portraits.

Through its halls you will see the faces of Kings, Queens, Politicians, Engineers, Musicians, the list goes on.

This unique walking tour will take you to a special variety of portraits of women throughout history, reveal their stories and the power behind their portraits.

This 2 hour small group walking tour is limited to 10 people and costs £25.00 per person.

This tour will include the portraits of:

This walking tour will meet at the Edith Cavell Memorial, which is located across the road from the entrance of the National Portrait Gallery. 

Please arrive ten minutes before the start time of the tour.
